The Lodosa piquillo pepper is an intense red pepper, fleshy, compact, consistent and with a turgid texture without being hard. Internationally recognized for its high quality and special flavor, it is distinguished from other varieties of peppers for its special flavor.
Piquillo peppers are cultivated in the Lodosa region, Community of Navarra, Spain. They are harvested when their maturation is optimal and later roasted. Once the peppers are roasted, they are peeled by manual methods, without using water during the process, in order to maintain the original flavor and texture.
